Green Home Design Firm Offers its First Free Green Showcase Floor Plan
Charlestown, MA (PRWEB) May 24, 2009 -- Today FreeGreen, the world's leading green house plan (http://www.freegreen.com/) provider has announced the launch for its first Showcase Green House, a New England Colonial House Plan. Starting in July, green home enthusiasts around the world will be able to download the floor plans, construction documents, and energy efficiency calculations for this classic New England Colonial House Plan. All of these documents will be available to the public for free, using FreeGreen's unique house plan specification advertising model. For this project, FreeGreen, provider partnered with a Needham, MA-based family to design and document the construction of a green home. This project has documented the family's decision and construction of the home including their work with local service providers such as System Seven for green home automation design, Conoco Systems for the design and installation of a Water Furnace Geothermal system and Kitchen View's for the design and use of green kitchen and bath cabinets.

"We are very proud of the decisions that we and FreeGreen have made through this process such as being the first home in New England to use FSC Clear (CVG) Cedar Siding from F.D. We hope that sharing our experiences of building a green home and educating FreeGreen's users on the use of green home products will help promote more sustainable building.
This showcase home will be the first of its kind, to combine such as well documented user experience and a ree houseplan for any one to download.
